Moses’ efforts led to a 35-29 win over West Florida. Chowan’s offense tallied a season-high 529 offensive yards in the victory (399 passing, 130 rushing).


  QUARTERBACK OF THE WEEK
#6 Amir Hall, Bowie State
(Fr, QB – Bowie, MD)

Hall continues to put up impressive numbers, completing 33-of-50 passes (2 interceptions) for a game-high 418 passing yards and three touchdowns (two passing and one rushing).

#17 Victor Tabbs, Elizabeth City State
(Sr, TE – Suitland, MD)

In the Vikings’ 35-30 win over Morehouse College, Tabbs held true to his All-CIAA form, hauling in 8 receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns. His finished the day with an average of 19.3 per catch including a long of 44 yards.

#8 William Stanback, Virginia Union
(Sr, RB – Hempstead, NY)

Stanback rushed for 94 yards on nine carries, including three touchdowns in VUU’s 37-14 win over Winston-Salem State. Stanback became the first Panther to rush for 3 or more TDs in a single game since Hakeem Holland turned the trick against Lincoln (PA) on October 10, 2015.

Cisneros-Harrison gave the Trojans their first touchdown against the KSU Thorobreds with a 15-yard fumble recovery. He also secured 4 solo and 3 assisted tackles during the matchup to lift VSU to a 20-7 victory.

Newberry recorded a game-high 14 tackles (seven solo, seven assisted) in Saturday’s 35-28 win over West Florida. He had one sack (six yards) and three tackles for loss (10 yards).

(Jr, DE – Hampton, VA)

Sweat had a solid outing in the Vikings’ 35-30 win over Morehouse College. He finished the game with 5 tackles (3 solo) including 2.5 sacks for a loss of 16 yards. ECSU defeated the Maroon Tigers 35-30 at the 19th Annual Down East Viking Football Classic.

Coach James guided VUU to a 37-14 win over defending CIAA Champion Winston-Salem State on Saturday. It was also the first time the Panthers had won in Bowman-Gray Stadium since 2002.
