OFFENSIVE BACK OF THE WEEK
#5 Stephen Scott, Lincoln (Pa.)
(Jr, RB – Baltimore, MD)

Junior running back Stephen Scott shined on ESPN3 setting several single-game rushing records for the Lions. Scott had the most carries (30), most net yards rushing (179), most rushing touchdowns (3), and the longest rush from scrimmage (77) in a single game. He averaged 5.8 yards per carry and one reception for two yards. His touchdowns were from 77 yards out, 1 yard out, and 8 yards out.

(Jr, OL – Dayton, MD)

Nestor played a major role in helping Bowie State’s offense amass 427 yards in total offense versus Merrimack on Saturday afternoon.

#57 Rendall Mash, Fayetteville St.
(Sr, DT – Charlotte, NC)

Mash had eight tackles in the season opener, including five solo. He collected 1.5 sacks and three tackles for a loss of 17 yards.

  DEFENSIVE BACK OF THE WEEK
#4 Vincente’ STAFFORD, Chowan
(Jr, CB – San Diego, CA)

Montgomery rushed for a team-high 103 yards and a touchdown off just 11 carries in the 49-14 win against Saint Augustine’s. This is the third 100-yard rushing game of the season for Montgomery.

Palmer averaged 40.0 yards per punt on six punts with his longest being 55 yards. Palmer also made all five of his field goals attempts in Bowie State 35-32 road win at Merrimack

#1 Jordan Lane, Johnson C. Smith
(Fr, QB – Charlotte, NC)

Lane finished 13-24 with 192 yards and a long of 43 yards in his first collegiate game vs. Wingate. Completed 54.2% of his passes while throwing no interceptions.

Tim Place, Chowan 

Coach Place led his squad to a 41-31 road victory over the Fayetteville State University Broncos on Saturday evening. With the win, the Hawks tie the series against the Broncos (3-3) with Chowan claiming victories in three of the last four outings against Fayetteville State.
