Indianapolis, April 18, 2017— After a successful run in Chicago, Midwest Fashion Week is returning to Indianapolis for its Spring 2017 season with three days of exciting events combining 
networking, charitable giving and fashion presentations by the students, local and international designers. The schedule is as follows:
Thursday, April 20th, 2017
Industry Insiders: Fashion, 6:00pm – 9:00pm.
Location: Epic Ultra Lounge, 8215 Center Run Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46250
Meet Indianapolis’ influential fashion stylists and boutiques in an evening of fashion presentations. Discover the latest styles while networking and enjoying food, fashion and music!
Friday, April 21st., 2017
Student Designers Fashion Presentation, 7:00pm – 10:00pm.
Location: Bella Marcia,120 E Market St Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46204
Fashion presentation showcase featuring the works of student designers. The night will include influencers, student fashion, and a cash bar.
Saturday, April 22nd, 2017
Trunk Show with Elda de la Rosa, 11:00am – 2:00pm.
Location: The Secret Ingredient, 5631 N Illinois St. Indianapolis, IN 46208
The new collection from Elda de la Rosa will be presented in the form of a trunk show with pieces available for purchase.
Elda de la Rosa is a highly prominent and recognized, couture designer from Chicago with a national and international following. Her gown,s Elda de la Rosa Couture, are featured across fashion circles and are regarded among the best hand-crafted garments seen in today’s high fashion world.

Runway Fashion Show, 7:00pm – 10:00pm.
Location: Indianapolis Artsgarden, 110 W Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46204
Runway showcase featuring the works of four established designers in a live runway fashion show. The night will include influencers, and live performance. Featured designers include: Vivien Jackson, Catou, Elda de la Rosa, Dana Bitto
Tickets are now available online with a portion of the proceeds going to the season’s charitable partner, the DirectEmployers Institute, a local organization that brings learning to life by uniting public and private employers, schools and other nonprofit organizations that have a passion for creating a diversified workforce for Indiana students who are socioeconomically disadvantaged due to underrepresentation or disabilities.. It is the mission of Midwest Fashion Week (MFW) to bring high fashion into the many aspects of Midwestern life and industry and to help those in the region who wish to pursue a career in the fashion industry. Each year, MFW puts on a number of runway shows and community events, with one major series taking place in both the spring and fall.
About DirectEmployers Institute
DirectEmployers Institute (DEI) brings learning to life by uniting public and private employers, schools and non-profit organizations that have a passion for creating a diversified workforce for Indiana students who are socioeconomically disadvantaged due to underrepresentation or disabilities. We inspire and prepare the next generation of a more diverse global workforce by bringing a simulated workplace environment directly to students in state-of-the-art, project-based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Learning Labs and through local workplace learning programs. Our organization was founded in 2012 and we received our 501(c)3 status in 2014. We envision a future in which students who are low income, from underrepresented groups, and have disabilities, gain hands-on project-based experiences and workplace learning opportunities with Indiana employers to prepare them to enter high-wage careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and explore contemporary business practices with local employers. To achieve this vision, we work closely with educational and youth-serving organizations to identify high potential, socioeconomically disadvantaged students and match them with employers that are committed to increasing equality and diversity in their workforce.
