L.A. Business Ventures LLC hosted its 3rd Annual Carnival Masquerade
Affair on Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 6:30p-midnight at the Lucas Oil Estate. At this event, the Indianapolis Mayor’s Office honored Indianapolis’ own, San Francisco 49er Defensive Tackle, and Super Bowl LVI alum Sheldon Day, with a proclamation making February 22, 2020 ‘Sheldon Day Day’ in the city.
The purpose of this charitable black-tie event is to bring together leaders in philanthropy, government, education, business, and sports and entertainment to celebrate and raise money as well as awareness, for two worthwhile charitable causes that make positive impacts in our community; Helping Hands for Freedom whose mission of assisting military veterans in improving their lives as well as the lives of their families; and Sheldon’s Daylight Camp whose mission is empowering and motivating Central Indiana’s youth.
The 3rd Annual Carnival Masquerade Affair will include a plated dinner, a private VIP cocktail reception for our dignitaries and sponsors, and a silent auction. Among those who are confirmed to attend this year’s event are: Indiana State Senator J.D. Ford, Director of Veteran Services for the Mayor’s office Matt Hall, Sheldon Day, and Indy’s own and former Heavyweight Boxing Champion of the World Lamon Brewster. Also, in the true spirit of Mardi Gras, the evening will encompass New Orleans Brass Band music as well as live music from Indianapolis’ premier band, Carl Hines Quartet.
