If you were not in Orlando today you missed on of the nest battle of the bands I have seen in a long time and I’m a Graduate of Southern University.
There were 7 high school bands and the 2 colleges, Bethune-Cookman University and Florida A & M College. There were bands from Miami and as far a Alabama. All the schools did well.
The Florida Blue game both Universities checks for $5000 to take bad to their band programs.
One of the things that stood out with all the bands is that the Drum Majors are beginning to be female more than they use to be. It is a great thing that this is happening but I was not expecting it. These girls (young ladies) were fierce in these roles. I was like ‘WOW’ all night long.
