2017 HONDA BATTLE OF THE BANDS

1936

The Honda Battle of the Bands was created to celebrate, support and recognize the excellence of Black college marching bands and the unique academic experience offered by Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Honda annually awards approximately $200,000 in grants to participating marching bands during the program period. This year marks a significant milestone – 15 years of the program’s existence!

The Power of Dreams

.

As a company that thrives on innovation, Honda understands the power dreams hold. Dreams guide us and inspire us to move forward. For Honda, it means creating innovative products that enhance mobility and benefit society. We embrace and support those who forge their dreams into a better future. More than 25 years, Honda has a long-standing commitment to supporting the success and dreams of the nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). With initiatives like the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge and Honda Battle of the Bands, we’ve been able to touch more than 120,000 students and award nearly $12 million in grants in support of HBCUs. Over the past 14 years, the Honda Battle of the Bands has been committed to supporting the dreams of HBCUs by investing in their music education programs and showcasing their exceptional student musicians. As we continue to prepare these students to “March On!” both on and off the field, we look forward to this special Invitational Showcase.
