What South Carolina went through in Greensboro Regional to get to this point:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cI think we\u2019re in a really good place. We\u2019re riding that wave after two tough games against UNC<\/p>\n \u00a0and Florida State, and we pulled those out so I feel like we\u2019re pretty good coming into this game.<\/p>\n \u00a0A lot of people don\u2019t have us winning this game so we switched into an underdog role and we\u2019ll<\/p>\n \u00a0use that as motivation.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n How it feels to be only team in Final Four without a national championship:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cYou realize that after you get here and hearing people talk. We know we\u2019re the only team that<\/p>\n \u00a0hasn\u2019t been here before, but I think we\u2019re going to use that to our advantage. We have nothing<\/p>\n \u00a0to lose. We can just go out there and leave it all on the court.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0On reminding yourself that it is just another basketball game:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cWe do just because it\u2019s a really big stage, especially for our younger players, but for everyone<\/p>\n \u00a0because we\u2019ve never been here before. We just have to approach it like a regular game and not<\/p>\n \u00a0get caught up in excitement of the Final Four.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Impact of playing better competition throughout the season:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cWe\u2019ve been honing in on Notre Dame and what they do, and not really looking back on the<\/p>\n \u00a0other teams we\u2019ve played this season. We\u2019ve just been scouting them and seeing what we need<\/p>\n \u00a0to do.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n What do you know about Notre Dame:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cThey are a really good team. They have a lot of weapons with Brianna Turner and their back<\/p>\n \u00a0court with Jewell (Loyd) and Lindsay (Allen). We need to wear them down and try to make it<\/p>\n \u00a0hard for them to get into their offense.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On the \u201cWOW\u201d Factor of being in Tampa at the Final Four:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cI think it\u2019s a great experience for our whole team, especially for our freshmen because no one<\/p>\n \u00a0has ever been here before. We\u2019re just soaking it all in.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On going head-to-head against Jewel Loyd:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cJewel and I played USA Basketball together this past summer and we have a connection. We<\/p>\n \u00a0both have similar games which is what I think makes this such a great matchup. I know she has<\/p>\n \u00a0a pretty good jump shot, and it\u2019s hard to defend her coming off ball screens. Our friendship is<\/p>\n \u00a0definitely there, but, on the court, its business so the friendship will be left at the door.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Are you concerned about Notre Dame\u2019s experience vs. this being your first time:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cWe are new, and I think we\u2019re going to use that to our advantage. They\u2019ve been here before, so<\/p>\n \u00a0I feel like the pressure is on them to win. Coming in as the new guys, we have nothing to lose<\/p>\n \u00a0and we\u2019re just going to play it like a regular game and refuse to lose.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n How do you stay relaxed on such a big stage:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cWe try not to think about it like that. I try not to say \u2018Oh, this is such a huge game,\u2019 because that<\/p>\n \u00a0affects people\u2019s heads, and the mental part is a huge part of the game of basketball. We\u2019re not<\/p>\n \u00a0trying to hype anything up to be more than it needs to be.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Why does Notre Dame match up so well against you:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cWe both have really good teams with really talented players. Our guards do some of the same<\/p>\n \u00a0things the Notre Dame guards do, and I feel our advantage comes in the post because of our<\/p>\n \u00a0size and how physical we are. Our bench plays a big part as well. We have a really deep team<\/p>\n \u00a0and having 6-4\u2019s coming off the bench is a huge help.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On the key factors:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cGetting stops and making sure they don\u2019t get easy buckets, as well as rebounding.
